Descendants Family Tree Print

Genealogy is both ancestors and descendants. I struggled for a long time in figuring out how I would show descendants on a timeline. It was much easier to figure out the math of laying out ancestors. I finally landed on adapting my Sunburst design, but with the timeline flowing from the center outward. There are no connecting lines in this design either. Instead, color is used to represent the separate generations. Families are organized by generation and by oldest-to-youngest in each generation, going in a clockwise direction. I'm limiting this to show just 3 and 4 generations for now, until there's market demand for more generations and I discover some compelling 5, 6, or 7 color palettes.

Choose the Digital format if you want to receive a high-resolution PDF to print your tree yourself or send to a local printer. Digital prints do not include the option to receive a second, updated tree in the future.

Choose the Paper format to receive a paper print directly from us. Your print will come on thick 46-lb, acid-free paper. When you choose a paper print, you also have the option of receiving a second, updated print anytime in the future, at no additional cost. We realize your family tree may change because of a death in the family or new research may uncover a new branch. You can feel confident in buying a print now, knowing that you can get a free, updated second print anytime later.

The print sizes offered correspond to common poster frame sizes in the US that you can buy at major retailers such as Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart or Amazon.

If you do not want to frame your print, we offer an optional 5 mil, 2-sided lamination that will offer long-lasting protection. This is a separate product you must add to your cart.
